I noticed on my stats that I had quite a few hits to the “about” section of my blog.  Due to a ridiculous amount of procrastination &&& just not knowing what to say about MYSELF, I hadn’t posted anything in the “about” section yet.  But I guess you folks just want to know what I am all “about”.  Are you sure you’re ready for this???

Hmmm…where to start?  I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, neice, aunt & baby mama (inside joke between E & I).  God & Family are of the utmost importance in my life.  When my husband & I got married in April of ’04 I had one daughter and he had three sons.  Our “oops” baby came soon thereafter.  That makes five curtain climbing, grocery inhaling hooligans all in ONE HOUSE!!!  It does tend to make life quite interesting.  Then to add to the already LARGE & BLENDED family we have my ex (I seemed to have “kept” his family in the split) & his wife, E, who is the best baby mama EVER (I adopted her family somewhere along the way).  We have Chris’ ex & ALL of her big ‘ole family (there are LOTS of them too & I couldn’t love them any more if I tried).  We also have our (mine & Chris’) parents who are divorced & remarried which lead us to stepsisters, brothers & their extended families.  And so on & so forth.  You get the picture, RIGHT?  It makes for an interesting family, but we ARE FAMILY!  Love makes us FAMILY!!!

As for me, I am just a simple girl who grew up in the south.  Nothing puts a smile on my face like…my children laughing, watching the sun set on the lake, stealing away to Natchez with my hubby, that first breath of crisp fall air, pumpkins in all shapes sizes & colors, mama’s smile, cheap sunglasses, the smell of fresh cut grass, reading a book that I just can’t put down, sunshine (ahhh), a really cute pair of shoes that I got on SALE, music (good, speak-to-your-soul kind of music), singing to the top of my lungs when no one is around to hear me.

I have always had a bit of a hippie soul. I am a dreamer, a lover & a fighter when it’s something that I believe in!  You could say that I am a kindred spirit.  I always want to believe the best in others, even when the worst is most obvious.  Art has always been a passion of mine.  It is something that just comes naturally to me.  I love to draw, paint, capture beautiful moments with photography & turn random things into beautiful creations. The simple things in life make me happiest & the fact that I spend most of my time hurrying & rushing makes me CRAZY!
